2 charged after police-involved shooting at Northwest Side Jewel

Two men are facing charges for a shoplifting incident that resulted in a shooting at a grocery store.

Jonathon Koziol and Robert Hack are accused of trying to steal a cart full of groceries from the Jewel at Foster and Harlem on Wednesday.

An off-duty detective who was in the store tried to stop them.

But police say the men started to drive towards her, forcing her to fire a warning shot.

No one was hurt.

The two suspects are charged with aggravated assault of a police officer, and retail theft.
