The hunt for a suspected gunman shut down traffic in part of North Chicago for several hours today.
Authorities say the man shot three men in an alley there before fleeing through a residential neighborhood.
Witnesses say he appeared to hide out in a duplex.
Dozens of police cars and swat officers swarmed the area and sealed it off around 10:30 a.m. this morning.
A thorough search came up empty and police reopened the area around 3:30 p.m.
Two of the victims were treated for minor wounds.
The third man is in stable condition.
No one is in custody.
