6th Annual Dog Days Festival:

Guests at Cantigny in Wheaton are invited to bring their dogs to the park today from 10a.m. – 4p.m. There will be a "bark park" set up for dogs to play in, plus demonstrations and entertainment shows with some specially trained pups. Admission is free with paid parking for $5.

Lindenhurst and Lake Villa Chamber of Commerce 2nd Annual Mud Run:

The race begins at 9 a.m. and heats run every 30 minutes at Lake Villa Township Cabooze Park. It's open to all ages; there will also be a children's course for the little ones. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and costs $60 a person.
