Daughter of woman found in trunk charged in connection with her murder
The daughter of an Indiana woman found dead in the trunk of car has been charged in connection with her murder.
17-year-old Alyssa Barrett is charged in connection with the killing of 54-year-old DeCarol Deloney-Cain.
54-year-old DeCarol Deloney-Cain was found earlier this month in the trunk of an abandoned car in Gary. She was stabbed multiple times and suffered blunt force trauma to the head. Her body was wrapped up.
17-year-old Damarius Wren, Barrett’s boyfriend, was charged earlier this month.
Police say Wren put a pillowcase over her head, stabbed her multiple times and beat her head on the concrete floor.
Today, police say Barrett and Wren carried Deloney-Cain’s body from the basement of the Crown Point home where she was attacked and help plan the attack.
