There is a new development in the case of Stacy Peterson’s disappearance.
Peterson vanished in 2007 and her body has never been found. Her husband, Drew Peterson, has been the only suspect.
The Southtown Star is reporting that her sister, Cassandra Cales, is now considering taking steps to have her legally declared dead.
The declaration could make it possible to convict Peterson even if there’s no body.
Drew Peterson is serving a 38-year prison sentence in the death of his third wife, Kathleen Savio, but he’s never been charged in Stacy’s case.
