Between all the games, email and social media, your smartphone may be keeping you awake at night.
But there are apps out there that could also HELP you fall asleep. Mashable.com did a complete roundup of sleeping apps here, and here are some of my favorites from their list:
Free for iPhone and Android
This app allows you to create your own melodies to fall asleep to. You can customize mixes of sounds from a selection of 64 high-quality ambient melodies. You can even save your favorite sound combinations with one click. The app also features an alarm and timer system.
Free for Android and iPhone
This app helps you keep track of your sleep and tells you how to sleep better. After setting your alarm in the app, you place your phone face down at the corner of your bed sheet. Then, by tracking your body movements and sleep needs, the app will tell you how well you slept and suggest sleep and wake times for the following night. The gradual wakeup feature, which plays ambient music before your actual alarm, is also really nice.

The app helps you do exactly what it says: Long Deep Breathing! The app guides you through a series of deep breathing exercises — perfect for calming your mind before bed. In the app’s advanced options, you can even set the length of your inhales and exhales.
