The Cubs have an impressive collection of minor league bats poised to join  the big league club in the next year or two. Just spitballin’ here, but let’s take a look at what it might look like one year and two years out. Quite possible that all these kids don’t pan out but it’s also possible that they all become productive big leaguers and in at least a couple of cases All-Star caliber. This, of course assumes none of these players has been traded to acquire pitching which might be the prudent thing to do at some point.

I would rather see Castro at 2B and Bryant at LF in July 2015, rather than the other way around. No point putting Starlin in the outfield for a year, just to put him at 3B in 2016. I’d like to see Baez play 3B or 2B.
