Chris Christie in Chicago, stumps for Rauner

The Republican candidate for Illinois governor got a boost today from a popular governor from another state.

New Jersey governor Chris Christie was in Chicago city today stumping for Bruce Rauner.

On Friday, Christie came to Chicago for a series of closed-door fundraising events to boost the RGA, Rauner and Florida Gov. Rick Scott. Tickets for Rauner’s event ranged from $500 per person for the general reception to $2,500 per couple for a VIP reception and photo.

The two also visited Portillos downtown and spoke with people there about the state’s economy.

Christie says as chairman of the Republican Governors’ Association.

The RGA has invested $4 million dollars into Rauner’s campaign.
