Cubs Game Notes For Thursday vs. Padres


* After spending most of July on the road, the Chicago Cubs will play more games at home than any other team in the majors for the remainder of the regular season. The Cubs have played the fewest home games in the majors so far this year – 44.

*The Cubs are looking for their first home series win since taking two out of three from the Marlins from June 6-8.

*The Padres have a better winning percentage against teams over .500 (.463) than they do against teams under .500 (.413).

* In game one of this series, San Diego was shut out for the 15th time this season, most in MLB.

*Edwin Jackson is still looking for his first career win against the Padres. He is 0-5 in nine careers starts vs. SD.
