Scientists are trying to explain a giant hole, in the middle of nowhere.
This crater formed in a part of Siberia known as “The End of the World.”
It is 260-feet wide.
Russian scientists are going there Thursday to collect soil, air, and water samples. One official says this was not from a meteor strike.
Some geologists say warming temperatures caused permafrost to melt and release natural gas.
The hole may be two years old, but no one has noticed it until now.
