Residents gather for march on North Side after man fatally shot

A weekend shooting in Rogers Park left one man dead and a community stunned. Tonight they came out in numbers to show support for the neighborhood they love.

Hundreds gathered at the corner of Devon and Glenwood where 28-year-old Wil Lewis was gunned down Saturday.

The crowd, including 49th Ward Alderman Joe Moore and 48th Ward Alderman Harry Osterman, paid their respects and walked together - many of them in silence--with heavy hearts and a lot of questions.

But several who attended say they refuse to live in fear.

Police arrested Eric Vaughn in connection with Lewis’s murder.
