A Northside business owner is accused of slapping and spitting in the face of a 79-year-old judge.

David Nicosia, 55,  is charged with four counts of aggravated battery and a hate crime.

Prosecutors say Nicosia became angry because Judge Arnette Hubbard was smoking near him outside the Daley Center Monday.

They say he told Hubbard to move, called her “Rosa Parks,” spit in her face and then slapped her.

Hubbard, who is African-American, got her start as a civil rights attorney in the late 1960s.

She’s been a county judge since 1997.

No matter what a person’s title or age, no one has a right to slap & spit (ewww) & be so hateful to another fellow human being or four legged animals…then he has to make sure to throw the race card… a total loser…hope he enjoys his vacation. ..

  • 2 sides to every story

First of all there are two sides to every story! If you read the actual court case documents you will see that this women who is a cook county judge is the aggressor. This man was reacting in self defense. By no means am I condoning his actions but seek the truth before you judge! The grammar used by those that posted prior to mine shows the ignorance of the individuals that are quick to judge rather then seek the truth.
