Residents in several south suburbs are on alert this morning for more flooding after yesterday's heavy rains caused major flooding throughout the Chicago area.
Burbank was one of the hardest-hit suburbs.
More than eight hours after the rain stopped, fire fighters were still pumping flood waters off side streets to help relieve the sewer system.
There were some flooded homes and basements and some who came very close to being flood victims. One resident said she got least three inches of water in her basement an at least 5 to 6 inches in her garage.
A man and a child had to get some help after a car stalled out when they were trying to go through a flooded street. Everyone is okay.
