Mayor Daley may have to testify in the city's lawsuit against the Park Grill Restaurant.

City Hall is trying to terminate the long-term deal with the restaurant in Millennium Park, which happened during Daley's time as mayor. The Emanuel administration claims the agreement cheats taxpayers out of millions of dollars in revenue. It puts the total at $8 million so far.

A Cook County judge ruled Tuesday he doesn’t have enough information about Daley’s health to decide if he should testify in the lawsuit. Daley was in the intensive care unit at Northwestern Memorial Hospital over the winter for stroke-like symptoms. The judge wants Daley’s attorneys to give more details about the 72 year-old's health. Daley’s attorneys must make their case by Monday.

He isn’t healthy enough to testify??? Sounds like he doesn’t want to be under oath. Many people have had strokes, and have resumed functioning after shorter periods of time….. after this amount of time since his illness, hard to understand why testifying (is it stress because of hiding something) would be detrimental to his health…just saying!!
