A Romanian woman is claiming her late grandmother sent a “selfie” from beyond the grave.
According to the Daily Mail, Gina Mihai, 34, saw a blurry photo of her grandmother’s face when she turned on her phone. Her grandmother has been dead for three years.
“She had what looked like a snake around her neck, and the whole image looked as if it had been taken through a hole, like it was shot through a tear in the fabric that separates the living from the dead,” Mihai said.
A fortune-teller told her the photo was a message from the afterlife, and the snake meant she was being punished.
“By contacting us she was telling us that if we were to pray for her, we would still be able to save her soul.”
Mihai and her family have prayed a lot since she received the photo. She said she fears trouble occurred because she has not been participating in the local tradition of almsgiving to the dead. Now, she takes doughnuts to the cemetery every day in the hopes of saving her grandmother’s soul.
