Capacity crowd celebrates July 4th at Navy Pier

Navy Pier hosted Chicago’s only lakefront Fourth of July fireworks display.

So many people showed up, that the pier had to start turning people away.  Capacity was reached more than two hours before the fireworks began.

For those who are still feeling festive, or are one of the thousands who were turned away, Navy Pier is still having its weekly Saturday night fireworks display tonight at 10:15 p.m.
