A man in Minnesota is alive because of a super heroic act by someone he never met.
Mike Johannes pulled over to a side of the road Sunday night after smoke was coming out of his SUV.
The car fire disabled his locks, so Johannes started banging on the windows.
But nothing was working, and Johannes thought he was going to die.
That’s when he saw a window break and hands reaching in.
“He bent the door with his bare hands. That was him. It was no tool,” said Johannes. “It shattered the glass and they were able to pull me out.”
The hero was Bob Renning, who is also a First Sergeant with the Air National Guard.
“I don’t think I did anything different anyone else would have done had they gotten into the car ahead of me,” said Renning.
“My wife thanks him. I know my daughter does,” said Johannes. “Sometime I gotta meet up with him. I’ll have her give him a big hug.”
