Bobby Womack dies at 70

Legendary soul singer and song writer Bobby Womack died on Friday.

So far no details have been provided about his death.

Womack was a gospel-soul singer who wrote songs for the Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin and others.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2009.

Womack death comes as a surprise but he was diagnosed with Alzheimers two years ago.

He was 70 years old.
