Many times you are meeting the makeup artist for the first time. Don’t be afraid to tell them about your normal makeup routine and back it up with photos. Bring a photo of yourself at a time you loved your makeup (maybe a special event), bring a photo of you on a typical day, and 2-3 inspiration photos of makeup you love.
Bring Your Makeup Bag Along
If you have products that you absolutely love – bring them along. At the very least, it will give the makeup artist an idea of what your comfort level is and where he or she can make suggestions or add things in based on your comfort level.
Say Yes to Lashes
Lashes are and easy and subtle way to add natural intensity to your eyes as well as opening them up. One of the biggest requests I get from mothers of the bride or groom is to make their eyes look bigger.
The Great Debate: Luminous v Matte.
Many women think that they must wear all matte products everywhere to avoid enhancing lines, wrinkles and other skin texture. Luminous skin = youthful looking skin. Shimmer and highlighting can work on everyone as long as you know where to place it and how much.
