(CNN)- An official report will be released today reviewing how state government leaders, prosecutors and police handled the Jerry Sandusky child sexual assault scandal at Penn State University.
Pennsylvania Attorney General Kathleen Kane’s office produced the highly anticipated report.
The report will address concerns over now Governor Tom Corbett’s conduct when allegations against Sandusky came to light in 2009, and whether politics played a role as Corbett was planning a run for governor at the time.
Sandusky was convicted in 2009 of sexually assaulting children while he was an assistant football coach at Penn State, working under legendary coach Joe Paterno. He is currently serving 30 to 60 years in prison.
