Chicago police issued an alert about an attempted child abduction in Brighton Park.
It happened at about 8 a.m. Friday at 43rd Street and Mozart Street.
The boy was walking when a silver or grey four-door sedan with tinted windows approached him. The driver told the boy to get in the car then got out and tried to chase down the child.
Police say two people were in the vehicle. They described the driver as a thin Hispanic man in his early twenties and about 5-foot-10. He was wearing a T-shirt with dirty blue jeans and tan construction boots.
