A car accident left four teenagers submerged in a creek.

It happened early Friday morning in southwest suburban Crestwood.

A car left the road and rolled over into a creek upside down.

Firefighters rescued three people right away, but they had to cut open the car to reach a girl inside.

The water was four feet deep and muddy.

“This is a road that goes into a park. It’s closed at nighttime, so I don’t know why the vehicle was here or how it ended up in the creek,” said Crestwood Fire Chief Jon Bruce.

All four victims are in the hospital.

We’re being told that their injuries are not life-threatening.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
