Girl asked to leave restaurant over facial scars, grandmother says
A Mississippi woman says her 3-year-old granddaughter was asked to leave a KFC because of her facial scars.
Two months ago, three pit bulls attacked 3-year-old Victoria Wilcher.
Her face was badly scarred, her jaw was broken and she lost her right eye.
She was going out for dinner with her family after being released from the hospital when a KFC worker in Jackson, Miss., said she couldn’t stay.
“She said that we’d have to leave, we were disturbing her other customers, Victoria’s face was disturbing other customers,” said Victoria’s grandmother Kelly Mullins.
On hearing the news, Victoria’s family took to Facebook with a post of her face, and a message reading “Does this face look scary to you?”
The message went on to say, “I will never step foot in another KFC.”
The KFC corporate offices reached out to the family and released a statement saying it has zero tolerance for any kind of hurtful or disrespectful actions towards their guests.
And the company is “committed to doing something appropriate for this beautiful little girl and her family.”
