Saturday evening the Dairy Queen in Dwight, where neighbors say one of the victims worked, was closed and a sign hung on the door saying there had been a death in the family.
“I knew there’s something going on didn’t know exactly what it was but from here you can see everything.”
Lee Gronau has a clear view of 200 west North, the house where police say at about 4:30am they received a call about a shooting at the home. When they arrived they found two women who were dead and an injured man that was then flown from the scene.
“I don’t know how the guy is in the hospital if he is still coherent or not but they are going to have to question him to find out what really happened.”
Neighbors in Dwight, which is about 75 miles south of Chicago, were on their porch fronts and talking with each other, trying to figure out what happened and why.
“It’s sad in any situation what happened you know.”
Saturday Police remind tight lipped about the details of their investigation and the identities of the victims.
