Chicago man accused of driving without pants in Des Plaines
A Chicago man who was previously convicted of criminal sexual abuse was accused Thursday of driving through a condominium complex without pants in northwest suburban Des Plaines, said officials.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m. Thursday, sheriff’s police were alerted to a man who was nude from the waist down and was “gratifying himself,” while driving a silver 2011 Toyota Camry, according to a Cook County Sheriff’s office press release.
Police found the driver, exposed from the waist down, with pornographic magazines inside the Camry, according to the release.
Detectives later learned that the driver, Aleksandar Mihailovic, 54, of the 6500 block of Irving Park Road in Chicago, was convicted three previous times for public indecency and was also convicted for criminal sexual abuse, the release said.
Sheriff’s police believed he may have committed similar offenses in neighboring areas and asks anyone with information to contact 708-865-4896.
Mihailovic was charged with one count of public indecency in Thursday’s incident and his bail was set at $30,000. His next court date was scheduled for July 1 at the Skokie Courthouse.
