Seconds after nearly being crushed by an out-of-control car, a man risked his life to save the injured driver.
Surveillance video from a gas station in New York shows a speeding car plow into a busy gas station last Tuesday.
In the video, you can see John Vescio run to escape the fiery gas pump. But seeing the flames, Vescio went back to help the other driver.
Vescio is an investigator with the New York State Police. He was off-duty at the time, but credits his training for his quick actions.
Authorities believe the driver was in diabetic shock.
He was taken to the hospital, but his condition it not known.
Vescio escaped with a few bumps and bruises.
