When most people are stuck overnight in an airport, they read, watch movies or take a nap.
But not Richard Dunn, of Canton, Georgia. Instead, he filmed a music video of himself lip-syncing to Celine Dion’s version of “All By Myself” in the completely empty McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.
According to CBC News, Dunn was offered vouchers to be bumped off two consecutive Delta Air Lines flights leaving him “all by himself”until 6 a.m. the next day.
Dunn, who works as a lighting designer for corporate entertainment tells CBC: “I thought, well I don’t have enough time to go to a hotel so what do I do? I’ve got my phone and an empty movie set, let’s see what trouble I can get into.”
He started filming once the airport was empty at about 2 a.m.
He asked an airport mechanic for some tape and used it to secure his iPhone to a ruler. He then sandwiched the pole between his luggage bags and took his “tripod” around the terminal to film the various shots.
The video has been watched more than two million times on Vimeo.
