Man killed, 4-year-old boy injured in South Side shooting
Chicago police are looking for the person who shot and killed a man and injured a four-year-old boy as they sat in the back seat of a car on the South Side.
The shooting happened in the 300 block of west 71st Street at about 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.
The boy’s mother drove the car to St. Bernard hospital.
The boy was shot once in the wrist and was transferred to comer children’s hospital.
The unidentified man was shot several times and transferred in critical condition to Stroger Hospital where he later died.
Police say the man is a known gang member and was targeted by the shooter.
