Chicago’s federal appeals court hears special oral arguments today in the case of accused terrorist Adel Daoud.
Court personnel failed to record a hearing on whether defense lawyers should get access to confidential surveillance documents.
Court employees say, because of a huge security sweep of the courtroom, they thought they weren’t supposed to record the session.
The mistake forced the unprecedented appeals court action.
Daoud will stand trial for plotting to set off a bomb outside a bar in the Loop back in 2012.
