House damaged by explosion in Hazel Crest

An overnight explosion damaged a home in south suburban Hazel Crest.

It happened at about 2 a.m. Sunday at a home near 160th and Orchard Ridge Avenue.

Neighbors say they heard a really loud blast. Debris was found on the roofs of neighboring homes.

The Hazel Crest Fire Department says no one was hurt. Neighbors believe the home may have been abandoned.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the explosion.
