Wrigleyville residents gathered at the District 19 Police Station Wednesday night to talk about increased police presence, among other things.
With late baseball games, pride parades and now word of a sexual assault inside a Wrigleyville bar over the weekend, residents are calling for more cops on the street.
The area police commander says bars are making security more visible with yellow vests. Uniformed officers will be more visible at night too.
As for the rape, detectives continue to work the case, with the help of surveillance video.
The commander says there will be a resolution.
There was another incident reported in the 3500 block of North Clark on May 25th.
The commander says that alleged victim has recanted her story.
