74-year-old grandfather wounded in shooting
A 74-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in Morgan Park this afternoon and the man’s grandson tells WGN he believes the bullet was meant for him.
Andrew Hollis is in serious condition at Christ Hospital after a shooting erupted at 112th and Throop around 1:30 p.m. Hollis was in the front seat of a car with his 18-year-old grandson Khalil Black. Black’s mother and 5-year-old brother were in the back seat.
Black tells WGN he is a member of a gang and he says he was the target.
There are no suspects in custody.
