Police: Des Plaines boys damage school after playing with fireworks
Three boys in Des Plaines caused up to $15,000 in damage, after police said they started a fire outside Algonquin Middle School.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
The boys, two who are 13 and a twelve year-old were playing with fireworks when they accidentally set fire to the outside of the building.
The school’s outer wall, ceiling, and some of the doors were damaged in the fire.
No one was hurt.
The boys were released to their parents after the incident.
