Suburban priest charged after exposing himself
A priest at a west suburban parish turned himself in today after being accused of exposing himself at a gas station.
44-year-old Aaron Brodeski was charged with two counts of public indecency.
Police say he exposed himself in march to an employee at a gas station in Winnebago County.
Brodeski is a priest at Holy Cross Church in Batavia.
The Diocese of Rockford released a statement saying they placed him on leave when they were told of the investigation last month.
That statement from the diocese said in part, “The authorities in Winnebago County alerted the diocese last month that they were investigating an alleged incident involving Msgr. Aaron Brodeski. In full cooperation with authorities, Msgr. Brodeski agreed to be immediately placed on personal leave from his priestly assignment at Holy Cross Parish in Batavia, and was sent for evaluation and possible treatment for any difficulties affecting his conduct and ministry. Following Msgr. Brodeski’s return from evaluation, the diocese learned that the investigation resulted in his arrest.’
