Chicago may set its own pot rules

The City of Chicago may get to write its own rules on where medical marijuana may be grown and sold.

No other city in Illinois is allowed to create its own restrictions; but the state Senate endorsed a bill to exempt Chicago.

That’s because state law prohibits pot farms within five blocks of homes or schools, and dispensaries can’t be within two blocks; and in Chicago, that’s practically everywhere.

The Illinois house takes up the bill next.

  • Do Not Do It

Here it is again folks. Chicago's mayor, Mr Madigan and Pat Quinn all getting together now to tax the heck out, rehulate, monopolize and give the work to their political cronies.
Dint Do It in the medical pot market. Daley taxed water bottles in the city, they have taxes to death everything and everyone. Nothing left to tax & control but pot.
Send these politicians home at the next election.

if it can bring money to Madigan and rahm you can bet they will allow it in Chicago. I can see rahm turning northerly island into a pot farm to fill his pockets.
