A prank letter was circulated Tuesday at Lake Zurich High School, and predictably it drew a mixed response.

The letter, with the school’s logo, said all female students were required to submit to a mandatory inspection of their private parts.

School officials were quick to say the letter is a fake.

Some students say it was tasteless, offensive and disgusting.

It was posted on Facebook and Twitter, where some readers said they thought the prank was funny.

Someone recently tried the same stunt at a school in Minnesota.
