Police hope surveillance photos lead them to a man who tried to sexually assault a woman near the CTA Blue Line and the UIC campus.

The suspect followed the 19-year-old woman from the Clark and Lake Station to the stop near Halsted and the Eisenhower Expressway.

After she got off the train, the suspect continued to follow her and attacked her in the 900 block of Van Buren.

She was able to fight him off and called police immediately.

The attacker is described as a black man in his late teens to early 20’s, 5’-5” or 5’-6”, weighing 160 to 170 lbs.

He was wearing a black t-shirt with a white and red logo as well as dark pants and shoes, and carrying a dark-colored backpack.
