Hundreds protest at McDonald’s campus over workers rights, wages
As many as 1500 McDonald’s workers, union members, workers’ rights activist and others rallied at the McDonald campus in Oak Brook today calling for a higher minimum wage came together this afternoon.
The demonstrators also demanded the right to unionize without retaliation.
They say the company misleads the public by portraying the majority of their workforce as teens. Demonstrators here say most fast food workers are adults who are struggling to make ends meet.
More than 100 demonstrators were arrested for criminal trespass.
