Hawks take Game 1, 3-1 over Kings

Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville erupted into another playoff sideline tirade during Game 1 of the Western Conference finals at the United Center.

Jonathan Toews’ goal that would have provided a 2-0 second period cushion was disallowed, followed by some cumbersome explanations by the NHL on the ruling.

None of it mattered in the end. Everyone could leave the United Center pleased.

    Real time refs made initial call correct, good goal. Slow motion changed minds. When do the refs and the league look at the whole game in slow motion and go back and admit they missed several tripping and hooking calls and what do they do about it?
