2 dead, 13 wounded in shootings across the city
Two men are dead and thirteen others wounded in shootings across the city Saturday.
The most recent one happened in the 3400 block of West Madison, where a 30-year-old man was shot and killed.
Another man was shot to death while sitting in a parked car near the 200 block of North Pine.
Three people were shot while they were playing basketball near the intersection of 70th and Marshfield.
Someone shot a 23-year-old man in the 4600 block of West Diversey Avenue.
A 19-year-old sitting in his car was shot near 81st and Drexel Avenue.
Someone shot a man early Saturday morning in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.
A 15-year-old boy was shot in the leg and hip near Cortland and Lawndale avenues.
A 30-year-old man was shot in the chest. It’s not clear where he was shot – he told police he was shot in the 7700 block of South Peoria Street but police found no crime scene there.
A 19-year-old man was shot in the back on the 7000 block of South Vernon Avenue.
Two men robbed and then shot a 50-year-old man in Englewood Saturday afternoon.
