2 adults, 2 children injured when police chase ends with crash
Two young children and two adults are recovering from injuries after a truck crashed into another car and a CTA bus shelter during a police chase.
It all started about a mile and a half west of here late last night near Homan and Roosevelt.
Police said they tried to pull over a 23-year-old driver for using an alley as a through street.
That’s when he took off in his truck, eventually crashing into another car at Roosevelt and Western.
The CTA shelter that once stood here is now gone.
A 28-year-old woman, 35-year-old man, a one-year-old boy.. And 2-year-old girl were all taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital and are reportedly in good condition. They are expected to be treated and released.
The 23-year-old driver of the truck that fled from police was arrested at the scene. Police also found a gun in his car. Charges are pending.
