ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Mayo Clinic may have found a cure for cancer – and Stacy Erholtz may be the first beneficiary of that cure.
Last June, Erholtz went to the clinic with advanced blood cancer.
None of her treatments worked – until doctors injected her with a massive dose of the measles vaccine enough for 10 million people.
After just one dose, her cancer completely vanished.
So far, she’s the only patient to achieve full remission.
But researchers say they’re encouraged that the experimental treatment could work on others.
