New Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued in some IL counties, canceled in others

The National Weather Service has issued a new Severe Thunderstorm Watch for some Illinois counties and canceled it for others.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 11 p.m. Monday for Boone, DeKalb, Kane, Lake, Lee, McHenry, Ogle and Winnebago counties.

The watch has been canceled in Cook and DuPage counties.

According to Tom Skilling, unseasonably cool weather is expected for  the remainder of the week into the coming weekend.
