Thunderstorm, flash flood warnings issued

Severe thunderstorms continue to develop in areas mainly west and north of the city of Chicago and severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued for northwest Cook, northeast Kane, Lake County and southeast McHenry County until 8pm.

Large hail, strong winds and heavy rain can be expected from these storms.

A flash flood warning has been issued for portions of Kane, DuPage, northwest Cook, southeast McHenry and southern Lake counties. Heavy rain from these storms has caused from flooding.
