Blackhawks’ Andrew Shaw to miss Game 6

Andrew Shaw is “progressing” in his recovery from a lower-body injury, according to coach Joel Quenneville, but Shaw will not make the trip to Minnesota for Game 6 against the Wild, Quenneville said before the Hawks departed Monday.

Shaw will miss his fifth consecutive game.

“We said day-to-day at the beginning of the series, but now he’s a lot closer to day-to-day,” Quenneville said with a laugh.

The Hawks did their best impression of Shaw in their 2-1 Game 5 win, scoring goals by creating traffic in front of the net, something the Hawks have missed with Shaw out of the lineup.

“Shawzie’s been there all year and does a great job for a little guy,” said Bryan Bickell, who scored one of the two goals.
