Dunn has a preexisting relationship with new Bears assistant defensive line coach Clint Hurtt, who was Louisville’s defensive line coach for the last four seasons.
Patrick received a $750 bonus to sign a free-agent contract with the Bears, a person with knowledge of the situation said.
