Volunteers pitch in to clean-up the Chicago River

Today is Chicago River Day and thousands of volunteers will spend time cleaning up the Chicago River.
Volunteers will be divided among more than 61 clean-up sites along the 156 mile river system from Waukegan to Calumet.
You can lend a hand as well, starting at 9 a.m. at River Park at 51000 N. Francisco Avenue on the city’s North Side.
At 11 a.m.voluteers will meet at Canal Origins Park located at 2701 S. Ashland Avenue.
