INFORMATION SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN – ENGINEERING
The chosen candidate will be responsible for installation, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting equipment associated with data and file based video systems in a broadcast facility.
A degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields is preferred. Experience with multiple operating systems & application software suites including Apple MAC OS and Microsoft platforms required. Ability to support Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premier Creative Suite and Adobe editing software is desired. Proven experience with the ability to independently troubleshoot PC’s, Servers, LAN’s and data communication equipment. Experience with MPEG compression, non-linear editing, Newsroom and broadcast automations systems is a plus. Candidate must be comfortable with IP protocol networking, domain configurations, routing and Cisco IOS desired. Experience installing and troubleshooting VoIP systems and virtual machine (VMWare) workstations and servers is a plus. Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills are mandatory. Must be willing to work various shifts, including early morning, late night and weekend schedules. Overtime may be required. Must be able to work under the pressure of deadlines, making sound judgments while handling multiple tasks.
Applicant must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds for approximately 100 feet. Some climbing, stooping and crawling may be required. Manual dexterity needed to operate keyboards, mice, pushbuttons, manipulate tools and operate equipment. Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean record, be capable of safely operating company vehicles when required, and have good vision and hearing for satisfactory task completion, proper signal monitoring, and safe vehicle operations.
