Details are being released in the sexting scandal at a suburban middle school. Police say racy “selfies” were distributed between class mates at Rotolo Middle School in Batavia.
The lead investigator from the police department and the school superintendent say a student, who was not involving in the sexting, reported the sharing of what police are calling “explicit and inappropriate pictures”
Police say the “sexting” involved 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. As many as two dozen students may have seen the pictures and it may have gone on for as long as 6-weeks before it was reported.
So far, police say there does not appear to be any evidence the pictures were posted on social media or other websites.
