Warning issued after UIC students robbed off campus

UIC police are issuing a warning after two students were robbed at gunpoint off-campus.

The robbery happened at Laflin and Polk Monday night.

Police say three men approached the students and one of the suspects pulled a handgun.

The offenders took the students’ belongings and then ran-off.

The victims were not hurt.

The school is warning students to be careful, and aware of their surroundings.

Anyone with information is asked to call UIC Police at 312-996-2830.
